Next Wednesday, October 28, at 19.45 h, the writer Albacete Eloy M. Cebrián presented two new publications in the bookstore People of Albacete. These are two very different books court, specifically a collection of articles and a collection of stories.
"Murphy's Law" contains a selection of columns that the author has published in various newspapers of the city during the past ten years, and an article appeared in the national press. The second book presented is a collection of stories entitled "Communion", composed of twelve stories with a predominantly lyrical tone. Unlike his novels, where the author often grown satire and humor, stories that make up "Communion" evoke scenes of sadness and melancholy. Unexplained noises that slip through the walls, two estranged brothers because of some almost microscopic critters, a chronic depression respond to junk messages in your e-mail, a prisoner trapped in a huge apartment tower, a boy who suffers bizarre mutations, an annual gathering of former altar boys at the conclusion of a peculiar ceremony, two elderly people who live surrounded by ghostly presences, a man in love with a young prostitute ... here are some stories that make up the Communion. " Despite the fantastic atmosphere of certain stories, they all address issues as human and universal, with loneliness, isolation and death as overarching themes. The author is indebted to the tradition states South American tale, Borges and Cortazar primarily, but also of American teachers as Carver or Cheever. "Communion" has appeared on the editorial Alfaqueque Murcia. The book's cover reproduces the painting "Prelude in the world" by the painter Jose Calle Albacete, part of his recent exhibition "Inside the Iris."

Coinciding with Christmas will be held the reissue of his historical novel "Memoirs of Bucephalus, which was first published a decade ago by the provincial council, and returns to the library in one volume under the title" Bucephalus, memories Alexander's horse. " It also has plans to publish a new novel entitled Juvenile gender "Operation Beowulf" that will appear next spring with the seal of the prestigious Oxford University Press.
